After an 18 year corporate career, 13 of which was in senior regulatory affairs, governance and assurance roles at BT Group and Allwyn Entertainment, I set up Peerking Advisory.Regulatory headaches have a habit of arriving at the wrong moment. An investigation lands just as a product launches, new rules arrive mid-merger. They tend to hit when an organisation has the least room to deal with them and the most to lose if handled poorly.I've spent my career dealing with those moments: briefing BT's CEO ahead of meetings with Ofcom's CEO and government ministers and, at Allwyn, leading engagement with the Gambling Commission through National Lottery's largest technical transition in its 30 year history.You understand your sector. I build the governance frameworks that make change work, and the relationships with regulators, boards and stakeholders that make it work smoothly. Local Authority Advisory
Alongside corporate regulatory work, I advise local authorities on specific areas of telecoms regulation: the Universal Service Obligation and the Electronic Communications Code. In particular, rules covering payphones, cabinets, poles and masts. I negotiated the Ofcom framework that replaced councils' old veto over payphone removals, and spent years advising BT on its obligations, so have a detailed understanding from both sides of the table.Fixed-fee pricing available.
